This was an indulgence, I debated purchasing at it is clearly more expensive than many alternatives. When it arrived, i felt better about the purchase based upon the fact it is truly a beast and beautifully made. Looking forward to putting it through its paces!
Iam sure the product is great but the info for the product on the web page was misleading at least for me.
Overall the guard is built extremely solid, is easy to setup and improves dust control on my saw.
I would have given 5 stars however there are 2 small items which I believe need to be addresssed. The mounting kit provided to use on the Harvey Table Saw is solid, however if you choose to use their Spider Mobile Base you would have to retract the support foot each time you wanted to move your saw. I fabricated a bracket to bridge the support leg to the top of the Mobile Base. It would be great if a bracket for that option existed.
Another small issue is the main horizontal tube if you're using a 36" Saw setup. I ended up shortening the tube by roughly 12" because it stuck out way too much to the side. An option for the 36" setup would be good.
After a recent move to a new house, and now having a dedicated workshop space to fill I had come to the decision that I would like to make a significant move upward in my equipment and upgrade my 20+ year old tools.
After much research online I decided on Harvey. My searching found that as a tool manufacturer, they were always innovating and seemed more focused on the quality of product rather than maximizing profit.
After dealing with International Sales (Canada), I settled on putting together my ideal package… the
ALPHA HW110S-36Pro Table Saw, the Spider Mobile Pro Base kit, the Shark S-12S Overhead Guard and to top it all off, the Gyro G-700 Dust Processor.
Customer service was extremely responsive in answering my questions, ordering was simple, delivery was quick (from British Columbia to Ontario in less than a week).
Packaging was amazing. I've never seen such consideration into the design and robustness of durable packaging. It was of course eclipsed by the build quality, finish and appearance of the tools themselves. The Big-Eye Fence and Compass MG-36Pro are designed and built extremely well. Super accurate with considerations of fine tuning and calibrating perfectly.
Assembly was intuitive, and even the hand tools provided are of great quality.
Overall I'm extremely happy the choice to purchase Harvey, and although my setup has only had minimal use thus far, I can tell these are lifetime machines that will take my creativity to the next level.
If you’re looking for a precision, high quality mitre gauge I highly recommend this one. It’s beautifully constructed and has all the features I was looking for in a mitre gauge.
I have to be honest I was hesitant to spend this much money on a dust collector BUT now that I have it ….WOW should not have hesitated. Love, love this machine.

I have had the saw and router table set up for two weeks and thoroughly impressed at the quality of the product, the ease of set up and now using, both. I previously had an older Ridgid (4512) so this is a huge change. I didn’t appreciate just how much this upgrade would improve the quality of the items being produced just by not having to worry about the set up being accurate.
The other aspect of the purchase was the speed of delivery I ordered the setup on a Wednesday and the pallet arrived Friday morning. I live on Vancouver Island and certainly didn’t expect that quick a delivery, a pleasant surprise. Amazon can’t get small packages to my place that quick. I had a need to call the customer service following delivery (decided to add another item) again very impressed with the customer service.
I had decided on the Harvey saw some time back and was just watching for what seemed to be the best pricing/ timing. I am completely satisfied with my purchase decision. The quality and customer service have been exemplary.

It has been a few weeks now since I received my Harvey Alpha 3HP cabinet saw with Big Eye fence and Compass miter gauge. This was an upgrade from a vintage Delta 1.5 HP contractor saw with a Jessem MiteR Excel II miter gauge. It took me quite a while to decide to make this move as my shop is tiny (~13x16) and in the basement. I was concerned that the saw would to be too big to get down the stairs and too big to fit into the shop. But in the end, I could no resist this shiny new toy.
With the help of a few young friends and an appliance dolly, we just barely got the saw down the stairs. I spent a few happy hours assembling and tuning the saw. Since then, I have made a lot of very precise cuts with it, including thick blocks of walnut and white oak. With the fence, the mitre gauge and the Leitz blades, I have been amazed at the ease, accuracy and quality of the cuts. I have been very happy with my decision to get this saw and I look forward to years of creating useful and beautiful things with its help.
Biggest Pro’s: (1)measurement is 100% accurate & repeatable. No longer need to confirm fence to blade distance manually with tape measure.
(2) fence easy glide system with thumb wheel micro adjustment- no more tap tap back & forth.
Con’s: upload video’s on how to install your fence on other main table saw brands (ie. SawStop, etc). Instructions are not clear enough or intuitive. I spent the better part of a week trying figure out how to install it on a SawStop ICS. Frustrating.

Had to do a little retrofitting, obviously as it’s not a Harvey table saw. Really happy with it.
The products came packaged well.
At this time I'm only just getting my feet wet with the saw but the fit and & finish is exceptional and the adjustability to tune is the fence is top notch. The fence glides well, it locks front and back, plus the high/low fence and its slidablity in and out is great. Then there's the two pairs of flip stops that neatly nest in the front rail. The miter gauge is as good as any could be and well built as the entirety of saw.
On the router side of it I'm waiting on my JessEm router motor w variable speed control but the Harvey table, fence, and dust box is just a thing of beauty and alike the saw built stoutly with plenty of adjustability on the remarkable fence. The saw comes with a dado insert plus I have added the zero clearance one and a couple of roller guides and have since decide on the Sider mobile base to move it around the shop.
There was a missing portion of the dust collection which could have been the shipper however the customer service to was quick to get that in motion to me.

Installed on a craftex cabinet table saw I inherited from my father. The install of the rails went smooth. Needed to drill new holes to use the mounting hardware, once everything was installed and dialed in, the fence system works flawlessly and is as advertised. It is pricey but the quality is worth it.
received my order very quickly. unfortunately the rails for the fence system were damaged during shipping. a couple quick emails with Harvey and I had a replacement rail sent to me in no time. The saw is an absolute beast and a pleasure to use. the big eye fence system is amazing and the built in adjustable stops have come in very handy on repeat cuts building cabinets. the spider wheel base lets me roll the saw around my shop effortlessly. amazing products all around.
dust collection is very good for a table saw, i might add a secondary 4" port to suck up the bit of saw dust that collects inside the saw cabinet.
I recently treated myself to a new Harvey Alpha HW615Pro, 15", 3 HP band saw. I took a long time coming to this decision as it meant having an electrician visit to run a 230 volt line, my shop is just under 13 x 16 and it is in the basement of our small "empty nest" bungalow. I was very concerned about getting the machine down the stairs due to its size and weight. Plus, I was also getting an Alpha 3 HP table saw at the same time, so how was I going get it all to fit?
Martin at Harvey offered good and timely advice and reassurances which helped me to eventually place the order. And I am so glad I did.
Unpacking and getting the saw in place involved renting an appliance dolly and calling some favours from two much younger friends. If the saw had been one inch bigger in any dimension, we would have been in big trouble at the 90 degree turn in the stair case (no way to go forward and no easy way to go back). But as it was, we got it in place with almost no damage to the drywall.
Set-up was really straightforward (I had reviewed the videos and manuals before the saw arrived and have some background knowledge). There was a minor hiccup in that the table would only tip 14 degree to the left but bit of grinding on the underside of the casting at the point of early contact got that sorted.
I have made several cuts including resawing a 6.5 inch wide block of walnut and a 7.5 inch wide board of white oak and was amazed at how easily this was accomplished. Not only was the speed of the cuts impressive, but also the accuracy. I was able to shave off a slab at a consistent 7/128ths thickness! I used to resaw quite a bit wider than I needed and then planed to final dimension. Moving forward, I will resaw much closer to my goal and plane a lot less (saving more wood for other projects). And the Compass RG2 roller-guide, which was an included bonus, is a dream to work with.
One improvement I might suggest is some sort of red-flag visible at the front of the machine when the tension has been let off the blade to reduce the risk of starting up with the blade loose. Another observation (and this may be universal with band saws) is that it is finicky getting access to adjust the lower blade guides.
Overall, the build quality seems great (early days yet but still...), service has been very good and I am really please with my new toy. I look forward to many years of making dust with it. Oh, and BTW, the dust collection is miles better than my old Delta 14" (which had none).
Attached is a short video of my tiny work-in-progress-shop. Many things, including the band saw are on casters so I can shuffle them around as needed.

Good heavy duty base. Takes a few minutes to assemble, but that's ok. The instructions say to make it bigger each way but I wouldn't do that again, as it moves in the base. The base is useless with the 52" table because the legs for the table are like toothpicks.
Affordable and easy to adjust to any tool. Just cut some plywood the size required and bolt the corners in place.
